Rachel Beamer uses technology to enlarge and enhance her emulsion prints, while Lindsay Talley displays her oversize Polaroids on individual shelves, forcing the viewer to come in for a closer look. 6 to 8; free.

Raise autism awareness and find a fabulous new outfit in the same night at the Fashion for Autism event at City Tavern Club. A fashion show will feature styles straight off the New York runways, followed by a silent auction and live piano music. Buy a VIP ticket ($100) to enjoy the open bar. Could you ask for anything more than George Gershwin’s music performed by the Post-Classical Ensemble at the University of Maryland’s Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center? Two Russian pianists lead the ensemble in several of Gershwin’s most iconic pieces, including “Rhapsody in Blue,” to showcase the composer’s work through a Russian perspective. 8 PM.
