Things to Do

Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Start the week on the right foot with international dance or a gallery tour

If you didn’t make any of Artisphere’s (1101 Wilson Blvd., Arlington) opening events over the weekend, today is the second and final day of the free open house. Catch a preview of performances by the Bowen McCauley Dance Company, Washington Shakespeare Company, and pop-jazz singer Mary Ann Redmond. 11 to 11.

This Columbus Day, groove to a global beat at the Millennium Stage’s presentation of Hip Hop Dance Ambassadors, including performers from Bolivia, Zimbabwe, Burma, and Pakistan. 6 PM. Free.

Catch the folk-music group Bowerbirds at the Black Cat. Fun fact: The band lives and records most of its music in an Airstream trailer. 9 PM. Tickets ($13) are available here.
