Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Show your love for the District and find a new holiday outfit

To participate in tonight’s clothing swap at Artisphere, bring unwanted but not-falling-apart clothes, shoes, and accessories. Once the pile rises high enough, attendees will have a set amount of time to pick out new treasures and make trades with others. The remaining items will be donated to Goodwill of Greater Washington. No cover. 6 to 9.

Celebrate the city we call home at ReadySetDC’s For the Love of DC launch party. The event features music from Fatback, Christylez Bacon, and surprise guests, and an art installation from No Kings Collective. It’s at District (2473 18th St., NW) from 8 PM to 2 AM. To purchase tickets ($10 online, $15 at the door), click here. Proceeds benefit Dreams for Kids Holiday for Hope.

The Mansion at Strathmore presents “A Tribute to Sam Cooke.” R&B performer Taraus Soul has an intense vocal style that emulates legendary soul men. 7:30. Buy tickets ($15) here.
