Thursday, March 3
Did you know that Mongolian is one of the most widely spoken languages in Arlington? The opening reception at Artisphere for the exhibit “Hamdtaa: Together” by renowned visual artist Gankhuyag Natsag features traditional Mongolian dance and a contortionist. 6 to 9. Can’t get enough? Come back for Family Day Saturday and try on Mongolian costumes and learn about traditional sports and dwellings. 2 PM. Free.

Sip a Kir Royale while lusting after Christian Louboutin shoes. Pastry chef and author Rachel Thebault is at Mazza Gallerie for a signing of her new book, Sweet Chic: Stylish Treats to Dress Up for Any Occasion. 6 to 9. No cover.

The Peking Acrobats, a renowned circus troupe from China, are celebrating 25 years of daring feats. Catch the spectacular show at Strathmore, along with the Women’s Peace Orchestra of China. 8 PM; buy tickets at Strathmore’s site.

Friday, March 4
After angering tween girls nationwide, the Grammy’s Best New Artist Esperanza Spalding is performing at the Weinberg Center for the Arts (20 W. Patrick St., Frederick). Her contemporary chamber music has won her numerous fans and awards. 8 PM. Buy tickets ($27 to $37) here.

Proving power suits can be fashionable, Howard Law School’s Intellectual Property Law Society is hosting the Intelligent Design fashion show. Three law students and other local designers are flaunting their fashion sense at Garment District DC (1005 Seventh St., NW). 7 to 8:30; free.

The Acting Company brings its touring production of Shakespeare’s outlandish The Comedy of Errors to George Mason University’s Center for the Arts. 8 PM; get tickets ($18 to $36) at the Web site.

Saturday, March 5
First, hit the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Old Town, along with a dog show and classic car competition. The parade starts at 12:30. Then head to DC for the Leprauchan Lap pub crawl, hitting more than 13 downtown bars. It starts at Mackey’s and includes $2 Coors Lite, $3 Blue Moons, and a wandering bagpiper. 1 to 9; get tickets ($9) at Xorbia.

Singer-songwriter Alex Winston is already drawing comparisons to Florence Welch. Hear for yourself at the Black Cat, who performs along with Typefighter. 9 PM; buy tickets ($12) at Ticket Alternative.

U Street Muisc Hall is hosting the release of Torro Torro’s Blue Blouse with sets from the DJ, as well as guest artists Tittsworth and Denman. 10 PM; purchase tickets ($10) at Ticket Fly.

Hear Two Men Talking at Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. Paul Browde and Murray Nossel grew up as bully and target in South Africa, and now they work as a team, using structured improvisation to address issues of prejudice, bullying, and more. 8 PM; there’s a show Friday, March 4, as well. Sunday, March 6
Wam2 unites ballet and opera in a re-imagining of Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Cosi Fan Tutte. It features young, international up-and-comers in the worlds of ballet and opera. At Atlas Performing Arts Center; 3 PM. Get tickets ($39) at Vendini.
