Tuesday, October 4
BEER:
Fall is in full swing, which means it’s time to break out the pumpkin-infused brews. During the Night of the Living Gourd celebration, Jack Rose will have 15 pumpkin beers on draft, including Flying Dog’s newly released The Fear (served in real pumpkins!), Schlafly’s Pumpkin, Dogfish Head’s Punkin, and more. Plus, there will be prizes for the best beer-themed costume. $5 cover; 5 PM.

MUSIC: Indie-pop band Left on Vermont are dropping by the Black Cat tonight. The Washington-based band “marries the pop sensibilities of Velocity Girl with the Beach Boys’ laid-back breeziness,” according to the Washington Post. You can listen to some of their tracks here. Tickets ($8) can be purchased through Ticket Alternative. Doors open at 8 PM.

ART: If you haven’t already, stop by the Phillips Collection to see the new Degas’s Dancers at the Barre exhibit. Some 30 works—including paintings, bronze castings, linotypes, and charcoal sketches—explore the study of dancers and their movement. Click here to read our preview. The exhibit runs through January 8. Tickets ($12 adults, $10 students) can be purchased at the door.

FOOD: Casa Nonna is spreading the amore with the launch of their Aperitivo menu. In true Italian fashion, the bar will serve complimentary appetizers, limoncello cocktails, and Peronis between 5 and 6 PM, with $3 Peronis after 6.
