The Sweetlife Festival recently announced it would expand to two stages for this year’s event, scheduled for April 28 at Merriweather Post Pavilion. In addition to headliners Avicii, Kid Cudi, and the Shins, organizers today announced the lineup for the festival’s second stage, known as the “Treehouse Stage.” San Diego band Delta Spirit will play, along with new-wave artist Twin Shadow, singer-songwriter Zola Jesus, electronic duo the Knocks, electronica act RAC (Remix Artist Collective), and local acts US Royalty (who also played at last year’s Sweetlife) and Bluebrain. Also on the roster: Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna, California girl-band Haim (who’ve been featured on Vogue.com), LP, and Cut Copy’s Ben Browning.
Sweetlife organizers Sweetgreen also announced a full roster of food vendors for this year’s festival, including New York’s Momofuku Milk Bar, Toki Underground, Pepe (the José Andrés food truck), Rappahannock Oyster Bar, Bev Eggleston, Baked + Wired, and more, in addition to the previously announced Shake Shack, Smucker Farms, and more. Has there ever been a music festival with so many gourmet offerings? Probably not. So while you’re munching away on a slice of Momofuku’s Crack Pie, you can drone on endlessly about how we do festivals soooo much better here in Washington.
