Things to Do

Where & When: This Week in Washington Nightlife

What to do for fun every night of this week.

Monday, July 14: Screen on the Green Starts!
Summertime, and the outdoor movie watching is easy. Screen on the Green kicks off tonight with a screening of Dr. No. Never been? Screen on the Green features classic films on the Mall between Fourth and Seventh streets, and starts July 14. Check our link for the full schedule and how to have a great evening while watching the free films.

Tuesday, July 15: Chocolate-Tasting Class
There’s more to chocolate than the Snickers and Mars bars of the world. Rob Kingsbury, a chocolatier (best job ever?) comes to chocolate lounge ACKC Cocoa Gallery to teach a chocolate-tasting class. You’ll learn how to savor the distinct tastes and history of this sweet treat. 6:30 PM; $25.

Wednesday, July 16: Free Baseball Films
Wednesday nights near the Navy Yard in Southeast DC, catch free baseball-themed movies. The movies—including Major League and (our personal favorite) The Sandlot—start at 8:50, but get there at 6:30 for games, music, food, and drinks. At 7:30, play Wii baseball on a 32-inch screen. Tonight’s movie is Eight Men Out.

Thursday, July 17: James Bond Film Festival
Catch a free James Bond flick in three area neighborhoods. Come dressed as your favorite Bond character for a chance to win prizes. Recite a few lines or act out a scene for the best chance to win. Films start around 8. Tonight it’s Moonraker at the NoMa James Bond Film Fest.
