The National Theatre wraps up its Cary Grant series tonight with Charade, a 1963 film costarring Audrey Hepburn and Walter Matthau. Often described as the best Hitchcock movie Hitchcock never made, Charade is at once a thriller, a romance, and a comedy. Complimentary tickets, distributed at the door half an hour prior to the screening, are required; 6:30.

Country star Lyle Lovett, the man who made marrying Julia Roberts seem a manageable goal for average-looking folk the world over, heads to Wolf Trap tonight. Lyle is, of course, talented in his own right, having won four Grammy Awards and recorded 13 albums since 1980. Tickets ($25 to $42) are available here. 7:30.

Tonight is your last chance to enjoy Jazz at the Jewel, as the Dumbarton House’s summer jazz series finishes its run tonight. Bring a blanket and picnic fare to enjoy on the north garden lawn while listening to tunes by the local jazz ensemble Full Ascent.
