Where & When: What to Do Tonight

A dance party and two unique concerts

Kick off the short work week at Wonderland Ballroom’s C U Next Tuesday dance party, complete with $3 whiskey punch and free beer cozies. Starts at 9:30; no cover.

Remember and honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a concert presented by Capitol Hill Presbyterian Church (201 Fourth St., SE). There’ll be performances by various local choirs, solo artist Pamela Jafari, and the youth of the Bokamoso Youth Centre in Pretoria, South Africa. 7 PM; free.

Singer-songwriter Alfonso Velez is performing tonight at Artisphere. The DC resident uses blues and folk, combined with his guitar tones and gritty vocals, as the main influences for his style. 7:30. Admission is $8.
