From Doo-Wop to funk, there’s something to please every musical taste

The guys from Forever Plaid are serenading the audience at Wolf Trap. The off-Broadway musical tells the story of a singing group that’s navigating the turbulent 1950s music scene. 8 PM. Tickets ($35) are available here.

It’s the final week of the exhibit “Landmarks” by Beau Chamberlain at Project 4 Gallery. Chamberlain’s colorful paintings and drawings depict a variety of botanical subjects. The show runs through October 16. Free. The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday noon to 6.

Get an education on DC’s famous dance style at “Go-Go: Not an Intro” with DC Music Salon and go-go scholar Kip Lornell. The event includes a screening of the cult film Good to Go, and it’s at Watha T. Daniel-Shaw Neighborhood Library (1630 Seventh St., NW). Free; 7 PM.
