Here’s hoping the weather stays clear for Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, which screens at Rockville Town Square Plaza as part of its free Movies on the Square series. The flick, based loosely on the beloved-but-strange children’s book by Judi Barrett, follows inventor Flint Lockwood on his quest to make delicious dishes rain from the sky and the pitfalls that follow. 8:45.

Wolf Trap gears up for a night of English rock as Peter Frampton and the progressive-rock band Yes join forces at the Filene Center. Frampton plays songs from his most recent album, Thank You, Mr. Churchill, which debuted in April. Get tickets ($30 to $100) here. 7 PM.
