Do You Know High Maintenance When You See It?
Help us with an upcoming beauty story. Your response could be printed in the February issue of the magazine.
You hear the terms all the time—someone will be called "high maintenance" or "low maintenance." But what do those phrases mean, especially when it comes to personal appearance?
Is it about the money someone spends at salons and cosmetics counters? The amount of time he or she devotes to grooming? Is it an attitude? Or is it about something else entirely?
You tell us. How would you define a high-maintenance man or woman? What makes someone low maintenance? And what do you see as the standards or basics of beauty that must be "maintained" in Washington?
We'd love to hear your thoughts. If you'd like to weigh in, please send an e-mail, with the subject line High Maintenance, to firstname.lastname@example.org. The best answers may be printed in the February issue.
