District Sample Sale
If you haven’t done so already, snag a ticket for the annual District Sample Sale (3336 M St., NW), featuring merchandise at up to 80 percent off from stores such as Wink, Urban Chic, Hysteria, and Ginger. Plus, enjoy an extensive silent auction and free food and drink from local restaurants. Proceeds from the sale benefit Rachael’s Women’s Center. 6:30 to 9; $40.

Lookbook Launch
Kick off the Fashion Fights Poverty event this week with an exclusive Dress Responsibly look-book launch party at L2 Lounge. Inside the book are clothes, accessories, and home decor from designers across the globe who promote responsible principles such as environmental sustainability, equitable employment, and fair trade. The book also includes nonprofit, nongovernmental organizations that use fashion and design to promote self-empowered, micro-entrepreneurial projects as vehicles for poverty eradication. 7 to 10 PM. Suggested donation $20. The first 50 donors will receive a copy of the look book.

Red Sprinkle Launch
Join owner Rebecca Margao at the launch party for her new online consignment shop, Red Sprinkle. The Web site is organized so that viewers can peruse by occasion or view the clothing on body sketches to see how potential looks might work with their figure. All-Access Fashion
This weekend, Tysons Corner is the place to be for the four-day All-Access Fashion Week, which includes four days of talks, fashion shows, and special discounts. Kick off the weekend with an industry panel, “Luxury: Reinventing the Dream,” featuring executives from the fashion, travel, and public-relations worlds. Speakers will discuss the intersection of fashion, technology, and the economy and how brands are adapting to meet the changes that the 21st century and the recession have brought to the industry. 7 to 9.

Double-Dip Trunk Show
Enjoy a double trunk show from handbag designer Isabella Fiore and jeweler Rachelle Celine this weekend at Old Town’s Hysteria.

Caycee Wears It Well

Scavenger Hunt
This weekend, the Old Town Boutique District—a cooperative association of 27 Alexandria boutique owners—is celebrating its first anniversary by giving away more than $5,000 in gifts during its Second Annual Scavenger Hunt. To participate, go here to download a passport. Over the weekend, visit stores to compile a gift bag of giveaways. Each visit also gives shoppers a chance to collect “stamps,” which will be entered in a prize drawing. Collect all 27 stamps between Friday and Sunday to be entered in the drawing, which awards the first-place winner with $100 gift card from each store. All-Access Fashion
Tonight, enjoy a fall/winter 2009-10 runway presentation hosted by YouthAIDS ambassador, model, and businesswoman Frederique Van der Wal. The top trends of the season will be presented by Tysons Galleria stores including Neiman Marcus and Chanel. Seating is by invitation, but standing room is available. 7 to 9.

All-Access Fashion: Tim Gunn!
Today, enjoy individual designer runway shows and a runway presentation emceed by Tim Gunn of Project Runway. Gunn’s show kicks off at 1, and the daylong celebration also features discounts in Mazza Galleria stores, miniature makeup and hair booths, and styling tips from local designers. 10 to 9.
