Our 5 Favorite Things From Neiman Marcus's Beauty Week

If you drop $100, you get a free bag of samples. Here's what we'd spend it on.

After hitting up Neiman Marcus’s Beauty Event last week, we were left with a serious hankering for some of the fantastic new products hitting the store this spring. Wondering what’ll be big this season? Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, and Chantecaille all seemed to be advocating a return to romance, with blush colors, rose-gold tones, and occasional pops of color on the lip. Mercier themed her spring collection around antique lingerie, while Brown drew inspiration from a wedding ring in her new Rose Gold collection. Here are our favorite items from the event, some of which haven’t even hit stores yet.

To see them for yourselves, head to Neiman Marcus at Mazza Gallerie for Beauty Week, which runs February 23 through March 4. The Beauty Bag is free with any purchase over $100, and is loaded with goodies for beauty addicts.

1) Le Métier de Beauté’s Cherry Blossom Collection
Limited-edition and Washington, DC, aren’t words we often hear lumped together, which is why we were thrilled to hear about Le Métier de Beauté’s new Cherry Blossom Kaleidoscope. Designed by Neiman Marcus’s Michael Reinhardt, the palette hits stores to coincide with the Cherry Blossom Centennial next month, and includes four eye shadow colors and a brown liquid liner inspired by the flowering blooms. Even better? It’s available exclusively in Washington.

2) Beauty Balms
Arriving at Estée Lauder this month is BB Cream ($35), which can stand for “beauty bomb,” “blemish balm,” or “beauty benefit” depending on whom you ask. The all-in-one cream combines an oil-free moisturizer with SPF 35 and a hint of color, making it ideal for sunny spring days. BB creams have been popping up all over the place for the last year, with brands from Clinique to Garnier producing their own versions. The Estée Lauder lotion also includes antioxidants and vitamin C, making it pretty much a one-tube wonder.

3) Floral Fragrances
While we’re sporting our bloom-inspired eye shadows, we’ll also be smelling like flowers if Jo Malone has anything to say about it. The British fragrance maven has three new limited-edition floral scents arriving for spring in her London Blooms collection: peony and moss, iris and Lady Moore, and white lilac and rhubarb. Inspired by an English country garden, all three are fresh and complex, and come in sweet bottles adorned with botanical drawings ($110 each).

4) Build-It-Yourself Beauty Palettes
As much as we love all-in-one palettes, there’s inevitably one color that disappears super fast and one that’s left untouched. The new Laura Mercier custom portfolio ($98) allows you to keep all your beauty essentials in one place and comes with refillable three- and six-well compacts for your favorite lip, eye, and cheek shades. The portfolio includes removable zip cases for foundations, lipsticks, and other small products, as well as a brush case, and it has a sturdy shell to keep everything safe in your purse. And did we mention its très chic snakeskin exterior?

5) Bright Nail Polish
Are we all done with gray nail polish yet? Finally? If so, the “it” colors for spring are yellow and turquoise according to Estée Lauder, and—you’ve guessed it—floral hues according to Chanel. The French fashion house has a new nail and lip collection for spring called Roses Ultimes, with six pink-toned lip glosses ($29.50) and matching nail polishes ($26). We love #549, “Distraction,” but we’re also big fans of this bright turquoise shade from Estée Lauder ($19): not your mother’s nail polish.
