10 Spring Jackets for When the Weather Suddenly Turns Cool (or Rainy)

Your mood will stay sunny in an unexpected storm with one of these light coats.

Global warming, we curse you. Saturday, we’re in shorts and a tee, and last night our teeth are chattering on the walk home. What kind of topper do we don when a heavy winter jacket seems ridiculous but it’s not quite warm enough to go coatless? The sensible solution is a light spring jacket. We love boxy looks (the roomy fit makes it easy to layer underneath when the temperature really dips) and anything with bright colors or patterns (helps us forget the icky puddles we’re dragging our new flats through). If you haven’t gotten your hands on one yet, consider yesterday’s chill and today’s showers all the excuse you need to go shopping. Here are ten fun options to get you started.
