With three kids on competitive high-school and college sailing teams, Keith Merryman spends his fair share of days around the water—even if he isn’t actually on a boat.
“We have three sailing dinghies that my wife and children spend more time on than I do,” says the Severna Park resident and consultant.
Merryman favors a casual, nautical look on weekends, when he’ll often wear chino shorts, polos, and deck shoes, no socks. Here he sports Bills Khakis shorts ($79.50), a Preston leather sailboat belt ($27), and a house-label anchor polo ($65) from Laurance Clothing (232 Main St., Annapolis; 410-263-1175), one of his favorite places to shop.
“I prefer lightweight clothes that look respectable and hold their shape,” he says. “Annapolis is a historic boating community, and this classic look always works.”
