A great pair of stud earrings can do as much mileage as your fave black pumps—they go with anything and always make you feel a little more dressed up. But there’s no shame in mixing things up every now and then, right? For those of us who prefer a simple stud over a dangle, designers have created some seriously interesting earrings for spring—bright colors, unexpected shapes, and good-luck charms abound. Ladies, let’s leave those pearls at home and jazz up our lobes with a few more creative options. From biker chains to jungle cats, here’re 11 great finds to get you started.

Meg Biram blogs about fashion, interiors and art on her blog MIMI + MEG.
