August can seem like a tricky time to shop. It’s hard to get excited about stocking up on heavy knits and new jackets when the temperatures are still lingering around 90 degrees. Lucky for you, we’ve rounded up 20 summer pieces whose prices have been slashed for the end-of-season sales. All of these items can easily be worn now and can maintain a spot in your closet come the fall. The key when sale shopping in August is to look for lightweight layering pieces that can be thrown on under thick sweaters or paired with tights. Jewel tones and rich neutrals are also a solid bet.
