Stingrays and dagger bars—so cool.

Remember charm necklaces? If you're anything like us, the last time you rocked the look was probably with french braids and braces. And that charm probably had something to do with your BFF or the sport you played. So now that you're a grown up, the last thing you want around your neck is something that brings you back to sixth grade, right? We thought so. Good thing updating the look for adulthood is easy-peasy. Pick pieces that are architectural and edgy, and don't be afraid to layer charms that are different shapes. Here are 12 bad-ass options to get you started. Don't worry—they'll still go with everything.

  • I have a lot of charm necklaces and bracelets and I still wear those if I am in the mood. The stingray necklace is very unique because I have never seen a design like that. The common designs are hearts, leafs, etc.

  • thanks for this

  • I am not particularly fashion-savvy by any means. Sure, I love shopping and I love clothes, but I'm certainly not the most fashion-forward person. That being said, as an average 20-something who reads blogs and magazines and has a good head on her shoulders, I feel that I have the right to pass judgement on fashion trends that I see on a regular basis
