Where & When: Fashion Edition

This week, there's a glam party for a good cause, a three-day trunk show at Hysteria, and a summer solstice party!

Tuesday, June 17: If there's one thing we love more than a glam party, it's a glam party for a good cause. Nordstrom showcases its upcoming fall styles in a runway show and boutique shopping party tonight at The National Building Museum. Tickets are $125 and $200 (for priority seating), and all proceeds benefit Knock Out Abuse Against Women. Call 202-725-5604 for more information.

Wednesday, June 18
: Did someone say sale? Mazza Gallerie fash favorite Harriet Kassman starts slashing prices today for their big Giveaway Sale, taking another 50 percent off already reduced spring and summer items from labels like Lela Rose and Pink Tartan.

Thursday, June 19: Ooh la la! Bethesda Row boutique Ginger hosts a Paris-themed book party for Kristin Harmel's latest novel, The Art of French Kissing. It's the perfect dishy beach read—pair it with a breezy Christiane Celle Calypso tunic and you're totally prepped for summer. (Plus, customers get free gift with all Christiane Celle purchases during the party.) RSVP to dcrsvp@thepattongroupinc.com.

Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21: Apple Seed and Daisy Baby boutiques are joining forces for a major two-day sale at Daisy Baby's Bethesda location. All items—including chic maternity wear from Japanese Weekend, diaper bags and baby and toddler-wear—are 10 to 50 percent off. See here for more details.

Friday, June 20 through Sunday, June 22: Tie one on (wrap dresses, we mean) at this three-day trunk show of summery new Diane von Furstenberg designs at Hysteria in Alexandria. Plus on Friday, a DVF stylist will be on hand to make sure you wrap it right. See here for details.

Friday, June 20: We'd like to suggest all DC fashion scene naysayers head to the Hirshhorn's semi-regular After Hours event tonight. At April's kick-off for the season, we'd never seen such an insanely fashionable crowd at a D.C. event—the style eye candy alone is worth the $10 admission ($12 at the door, which—based on the lines last time—we do not recommend). Oh yeah, and there's music and art and cocktails too.

Saturday, June 21
: What better way to celebrate the longest day of the year? Alexandria's Periwinkle boutique throwing a summer solstice party and offering 20 percent off purchases all day, along with cocktails, treats and freebies. See here for more.
