Things to Do

Where & When: This Week in Washington Nightlife

Celebrate all things fall with our picks for this week's best events.

Monday, September 21: Celebrate Fall!
Start this week off right by celebrating all things fall! Fall fashion! Fall festivals! Fall foliage! All this, plus Oktoberfest parties, the best football bars, apple-picking spots, great hikes, and lots more in our guide.

Tuesday, September 22: The Walkmen Rock the 9:30 Club
The Walkmen are locals done good. The band grew up in DC and moved onto New York, but are coming back to the 9:30 Club tonight for what's sure to be a great show. The band’s hollow, reverberating guitar licks and use of an upright piano distance it from fellow post-punk rockers the Strokes and the Whites Stripes, to whom it’s frequently compared. $15. Get more must-see shows in this roundup.

Wednesday, September 23: A Happy Hour Buzz
Head to Vapiano in Chinatown for a happy hour celebrating Sixth and I's upcoming first-ever gala. They'll have door prizes, drink specials, and a chance to win concert and gala tickets. 6:30 PM; RSVP here.

Thursday, September 24: Oktoberfest in Washington
Plenty of fun Oktoberfest parties kick off this weekend around town. So strap on your suspenders, hike up your dirndl, and lift your beer stein for Oktoberfest season with our guide.
