Howard Teger of NYX Entertainment loves to mix classic songs with Top 40 hits—his dream playlist moves seamlessly from one genre to the next.

Bridal Party Entrance: “Love’s Theme” by Barry White
“I like that this song is simple and peppy with no vocals, so that the emcee can introduce people over it.”

Couple’s Entrance: “Superhero” by Jane’s Addiction
“This is a hard-hitting intro song with lots of energy. My couples love it especially if they love ‘Entourage.’ ”

First Dance: “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” by Elvis Presley
“I like the classics for first dances.”

Father/Daughter Dance: “Father and Daughter” by Paul Simon

Mother/Son Dance: “Through the Years” by Kenny Rogers or “If I Could” by Regina Bell

Cake-Cutting Song: “When I’m 64” by the Beatles or “Grow Old With You” by Adam Sandler

Songs to Play During Dinner: Anything by Sade, Tony Bennett, or Frank Sinatra

Songs to Get Everyone on the Dance Floor: “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough” by Michael Jackson, “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO, or almost anything by Pitbull or the Black Eyed Peas

Slow Song: “You Make Me Feel So Young” by Frank Sinatra

Last Dance: “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley
“You could also go really cheesy with ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ ’ by Journey, but everyone does that—I like to be a little different.”
