Fashion’s Night Out on September 8 is shaping up to be a huge event in Georgetown (over 90 stores are hosting events), and here’s a contest for engaged couples that is almost too good to be true.
The “Get Hitched In Georgetown” contest and giveaway will award one lucky couple an entire wedding package, including a reception at Sequoia, wedding gown from Hitched, a cake from Patisserie Poupon, invitations from the Dandelion Patch, a honeymoon wardrobe from J.Crew, and more, all provided by over 20 Georgetown-area businesses.
To enter, click on this link and fill out the form at the Fashion’s Night Out Web site by this Friday at noon. The first 50 completed applicants (with five alternates) who meet eligibility requirements will then be able to attend and participate in the “Get Hitched In Georgetown” competition at 8:30 PM at TD Bank Georgetown. There will be three rounds of friendly—but fierce—competition, emceed by ABC 7/WJLA-TV’s Alison Starling (a fellow bride-to-be). And I’ll be there as a judge (no, I will not be accepting brownies as bribes, nice try).
Only one couple will win the grand prize, but all participants will receive a goody bag featuring discounts from all of the participating businesses. And, there will be an after party at Salon Ilo with lots of champagne.
