Friday, September 10, and Saturday, September 11
Romantic brides-to-be should head to Hitched in Georgetown for a Christos Bridal trunk show. The creation of designer Amsale Aberra, Christos gowns are, according to the boutique, "known for their ethereal fabrics, ultra-feminine silhouettes, and delicate beading and texture.” The store is offering 10 percent off of any gown purchased during the trunk show. Chevy Chase Bridal is hosting a Legends by Romona Keveza trunk show. The sophisticated dresses from the 2011 collection—inspired by Hollywood icons such as Audrey Hepburn—can add grace and elegance to any fall wedding. Friday and Saturday 10 to 6, Sunday noon to 5. Sunday, September 12
Washington’s largest Bridal Expo comes to the Dulles Expo Center from 11 to 5. See runway show and vendor displays, all conveniently housed in one place, from 200 of the area’s wedding professionals. Tickets ($10 at the door, $8 when purchased online) are available here

Tuesday, September 15
If you’re not working with a professional wedding planner and feeling a bit overwhelmed, the Hive at 1511 has the perfect compromise for you. At its “Tying the Knot on Your Final Wedding Details” seminar, you can get help on writing a personalized wedding-day agenda, putting together an organized checklist, and other ideas, tips, and templates for making your big day the best it can be.
