Redeem’s New Digs Party
14th Street boutique Redeem reopens in a new space a half block north this Saturday—the larger location will allow the shop to extend its inventory into new areas (shoes!) and expand the current clothing and accessories selection. The opening coincides with the launch of a new commissioned series called Defend the District, which will spotlight local artists’ designs on T-shirts and other items. To celebrate, the store hosts a grand opening party with Art in the Age spirits and the Tops sausage truck. Saturday 6 to 8 PM. Redeem, 1810 14th St., Northwest.

School of Style Pop-Up Workshop
Celeb stylist Luke Storey (he’s worked with tons of musicians, from No Doubt to Kanye West) and fashion expert Lauren Messiah share their insider secrets to professional wardrobe styling in a two-day workshop that will cover such topics as how how to break into the industry and how to build your portfolio. The workshop fee includes a workbook, a local resource guide, and light refreshments. Saturday and Sunday 11 to 7. Donovan House, 1155 14th St., NW. $575; register online
