Pop-Up Art Gallery at Frye

The brand new leather goods store in Georgetown displays the artwork of Martin Swift, Jim Darling, Jessica Lancaster, and Amber Mahoney in a pop-up gallery, launching with a cocktail celebration on Wednesday. Head to the flagship store to enjoy drinks by Catoctin Creek and live entertainment by U.S. Royalty’s John Thornley while perusing the works of some stellar local artists. RSVP required; e-mail to Frye@brandlinkdcrsvp.com. Wednesday 6:30 to 8:30. Due to inclement weather, this event has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 30. 1066 Wisconsin Ave., NW.

Mona Assemi Trunk Show

The formerly DC-based jewelry designer Mona Assemi—whose pieces can be found at such high-end retailers as Henri Bendel in New York City and Harrod’s in London—brings her gems to the W Hotel for a trunk show. Begin your shopping experience with the opening party on Thursday evening, then explore the collection of minimalist and statement pieces all day Friday. RSVP to whappenings@brandlinkrsvp.com. Opening party Thursday 6 to 10; trunk show Friday noon to 10. Living Room, W Hotel, 515 15th St., NW.

Tuckernuck Resort Launch Party and Winter Sale

The locally based preppy-chic e-boutique pops up in Cady’s Alley this weekend with a sneak peek at its new resort line, which debuts this Friday over Carribean-themed cocktails. The evening also marks the first night of the store’s winter sample sale, during which such brands as Shoshanna, Vineyard Vines, and Yosi Samra will be discounted up to 75 percent. Cocktail celebration Friday 6 to 9; sale through Sunday. 3330 Cady’s Alley, NW.

Creative Capitol III

Hosted by the talents behind Worn Creative and General Assembly, this always-sold-out event brings together the city’s most creative young professionals—designers, models, artists, and more—and is a major source of street style eye candy and awesome networking opportunities. The free event, which will be held at an as-yet-undisclosed Adams Morgan location, is at capacity, but it’s worth adding yourself to the waitlist—in the past, the organizers have upgraded to larger venues to accommodate the growing crowds. Friday 6 to 9 PM. Location TBA.
