Lookbook Love: ANTHOM’s Fresh New Collection (and Retail Space)

The retailer's just-launched storefront made a stunning backdrop for its latest photoshoot.

Since it launched last spring, ANTHOM—the brainchild of local creative masterminds Carla Cabrera (of the President Wears Prada), Ashley Turchin, and Marshall Johnson—has remained at the top of our wishlist for its daringly edgy selection of apparel and accessories by “under-the-radar” labels (Achro and Low Classic are two standouts). Following a successful year as an e-tailer and a visibly popular showing at Union Market’s Thread event, it came as no surprise that the stylish collective would take its web-based business to brick-and-mortar.

ANTHOM’s first-ever storefront opened to an eager crowd last week in Merrifield’s incresingly trendy Mosaic District, taking over the former spot of beauty boutique Bellacara. It seemed only fitting, then, that the new digs would become the backdrop for the boutique’s latest lookbook—appropriately dubbed “A New Space.” The casual-cool yet powerful production showcases a breezy, summer-appropriate line of dresses and separates that lean slightly more feminine and fresh, incorporating elegant pastels (think pale blush versus cotton-candy pink) while maintaining its sophisticated edge—all shoppable now in a touch-and-feel setting. Scroll down for a peek at some of our favorite looks from the new production, and see the full lookbook online.
