A Cute Dog and a Bottle of Champagne is All You Need for Amazing Engagement Photos

We love that though Brittany Delp had multiple themes in mind for her engagement photos with Stephen Spinillo, she didn’t settle for just one—rather, she partnered with Hay Alexandra Photography to bring all of her engagement photo dreams to life.

“Oh, hello, that boy over there is super cute” were the first words to pop into Brittany’s mind when she spotted Stephen at Radford University, where she was visiting friends to celebrate their upcoming graduation. They hung out the rest of the night and exchanged numbers, sparking their five-year relationship.

When Stephen had a work trip that brought him to Salt Lake City, Utah, Brittany took advantage of the occasion to turn it into a mini vacation for the two of them. While in the area, they extended the trip to visit Arches National Park, taking a ten-mile hike through the stunning natural scenery. But as beautiful as their surroundings were, Brittany couldn’t help but be completely distracted when, halfway through the hike, Stephen pulled out a stunning halo diamond ring.

For their engagement session at Manassas Battlefield Park, Brittany could decide which theme she wanted to go with, so she chose them all: a casual look with their pup, Capella, against the fall foliage; a cozy setup with props on a log; splashing in the nearby stream; and all dressed up in black-tie attire amidst the tall grass. “The third look (black dress) was easily my favorite,” says Brittany. “I was really itching to do something you don’t normally see and I fell in love with the juxtaposition of the formal attire in the tall wheat grass.”

Stephen and Brittany are scheduled to marry in August 2016 in Pennsylvania.
