January 26 and 27, Canaan Valley Telemark Workshop: Telemark skiing is one of the original forms of skiing. With tele-skis, you can ski flats, hills, and the backcountry. March 8 and 9, Pond Skim at Whitetail: Get ready to get wet. While temps often reach the low fifties in March, the water is still icy. March 14–16, Snowy Luau at Timberline: Finish the ski season Hawaiian style. The festival includes downhill races, a luau with a pig roast and bonfire, Hawaiian music, and Polynesian dancers.
