Things to Do

Fashion and Music in Georgetown This Weekend

An upscale clothing store in Georgetown may not be the place you'd normally think of to find some of the area's best artists playing acoustic sets of their work. But change your expectations: Cusp (3030 M Street, NW) is set to do an in-store Sunday acoustic performance every weekend in June with their Summer of Sound Acoustic Festival.

Kicking off the festival this Sunday are Brandon Butler and Laura Burhenn, starting at 3 pm. Burhenn is part of Georgie James, who gets a lot of love on this here blog for their jangly, upbeat tunes. Burhenn plays more intimate but no less powerful melodic piano. Butler, who got his start in DC in the 90s, is now churning out wistful, twangy alt-country. So be on sure to head down to Cusp and get both your fashion and music fix for the weekend.
