Normally, I’d balk at a $25 ticket price for an indie-band concert. But for the lineup at the 9:30 Club on Saturday, April 7, I consider it a bargain. That’s because you get three great, high-energy bands for the price. The Kaiser Chiefs, hometown boys the Walkmen, and Annuals all play in one night of exuberant rock. $25. I was amazed back a few weeks ago when tickets for both Ted Leo and TV on the Radio’s upcoming shows at the 9:30 Club were not sold out. Well, that’s changed for Leo’s show (all the tickets are gone)—but tickets for TV on the Radio’s second show on April 19 are still available. That probably won’t be the case for long, so get your hands on a couple of tickets for $20 each.
Some blues greats are joining up for a tour that will hit our area August 11 at the Pier Six Concert Pavilion in Baltimore. The 2007 B.B. King Blues Tour puts B.B. King, Etta James, and Al Green together for a stellar blues experience. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 am on Ticketmaster. They cost $49 to $135.
