Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Raging bulls, green photographs, and a garage-band concert

Giddy up for this weekend’s Professional Bull Riders Fairfax Invitational. The world’s top bull riders are competing at the George Mason University Patriot Center at 7:30 tonight and tomorrow. Purchase tickets ($10 to $65) at Eventful.

Catch several pop, punk, and garage acts tonight at Comet Ping Pong. Paul Collins Beat, Mondo Topless, the Electric Mess, and Hall Monitors are all playing. 10:30. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Hear from photographer Kimberly Gaines, whose exhibit, “Urban Landscapes: From DC to Denmark,” is on display at the Tubman-Mahan Art Galley (3938 Benning Rd., NE) through January 22. She’ll speak about her work, which showcases green spaces and gentrified neighborhoods in both locations. 6 to 8:30; free.
