TRIVIA: After a huge weekend with Pride in town, it’s a good time to chill out a bit and work that gray matter. Check out trivia night at Chief Ike’s Mambo Room—it’s usually not too packed, so you’ll be able to relax a bit, and there are prizes if you win (or a hockey game on TV if it’s not your night). BROADWAY: Sure, it’s always fun to go to a Broadway show to watch world-class actors and singers perform. But lots of the fun comes from getting the songs stuck in your head so you can sing them to yourself later. As part of the 15th annual Washington Jewish Music Festival, you’ll get the best of both worlds at the Big Broadway Sing-Along, featuring two professional performers, a huge songbook, and all the lyrics you’ll need to follow along. Tickets ($20) are available online. 7:30 PM.
Wednesday, June 11
FILM: NoMa Summer Screen continues on the field at Second and L streets, Northeast, with an outdoor screening of Midnight in Paris, Woody Allen’s 2011 rom-com starring Owen Wilson, Kathy Bates, and Adrien Brody. As usual, there will be food and activities before the movie starts, with Red Hook Lobster, the BBQ Bus, Captain Cookie, Popped Republic, and the KaftaMania food trucks parked nearby. Free. 7 PM. THEATER: The Source Theatre’s Source Festival (imaginative, right?) is back, featuring three full-length works along with 18 ten-minute plays chosen from more than 500 submissions nationwide. On Thursday, see “Mortality,” six short plays about—you guessed it—death and dying. Tickets ($20) are available online. 8 PM.
