Tuesday, November 29
BEER:
Help raise awareness for prostate cancer during Meridian Pint’s Grow Your Mo fundraiser. If you’re one of the many men who have been sporting mustaches for Movember, you can show off your chops during tonight’s mustache contest—and maybe even win some prizes. Meridian Pint will have six Flying Dog beers on tap, along with Pearl Necklace on cask. Even better, ’stache-sporting guests can enjoy happy hour prices all night long. Raffle tickets ($10) include a Flying Dog draft and can be purchased at the door. Proceeds will benefit Livestrong and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. 6 to 9 PM.

SIGNING: Journalist and MSNBC anchor Chris Matthews will be signing copies of his new book, Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero, at Politics and Prose. The biography captures JFK’s true feelings about the issues of his presidency—from civil rights and the Peace Corps to nuclear arms testing and putting a man on the moon. Free. 7 PM.

MUSIC:
Jazz singer Karla Chisholm is dropping by Blues Alley tonight. The Nebraska native released her first EP, Moving On, earlier this month. You can listen to some of her songs here. Tickets ($18) can be purchased through the club’s Web site. 8 and 10 PM.

DANCE: Stop by the Greek Embassy (2217 Massachusetts Ave., NW) for an evening of Greek dancing and light refreshments. Catch a performance by Dynami, Georgetown University’s Greek dance troupe, then pick up some moves of your own during group lessons. Opa! Free; RSVP to rsvpculture@greekembassy.org. 7:30 to 9:30 PM.
