Monday: Around the World in Short Films
The EuroAsia Shorts is a film festival that showcases movies from around the world, organized by themes like "beauty," "fears and phobias," and "humor." Discussions of the films and topics will be held after every screening. The series starts tonight at the Goethe-Institut and will continue throughout the week. Tonight's theme is "cities and urban living." Reservations are required. Tickets can be reserved at tickets@euroasiashorts.com. For more information, check out the festival's Web site.

Tuesday: Rockin' Rabbits
Our love affair with the White Rabbits is well documented and now is your chance to see why we can't get enough of these guys: The band, fresh from releasing its second album, It's Frightening, is touring the country and will play at the Rock & Roll Hotel with the Subjects as opening act. Tickets are $12 in advance and $14 at the door. The show starts at 8:30. Get your tickets here.

Wednesday: Trivial Pursuits
Trivia nights in Washington are quite popular but it's hard to beat Smartass! Trivia at Nellie's Sports Bar. Two games are played every Wednesday, starting at 8, with prices including $30, $20 and $10 tab discounts for the top teams. Other giveaways, like tickets to shows and/or sporting events, are also given away. For more information about Smartass!, check out the Web site.

Thursday: Asia After Dark
[UPDATE: This event is now sold-out. The next Asia After Dark event is Thursday, September 3; advance tickets will go on sale Monday, August 3.] The Freer Gallery opens its doors for an after hours series, featuring cocktails, food, music, and art, of course! For $18, guests will be able to check out the featured exhibit, "The Tsars and the East: Gifts from Turkey and Iran in the Moscow Kremlin," while DJ Delber spins Persian electronic music. Tickets are available at the door. 6:30.
