Alison Sigethy draws inspiration from the natural world for her art, which consists of sculptures made from recycled glass, collages made from fiber, and more. Her multimedia exhibit, “Understory,” is on display at the Art League Gallery today through February 7. Free.

Hear some the area’s most promising young musicians during NSO Youth Orchestra Day at the Kennedy Center’s Concert Hall. They’ll perform alongside members of the National Symphony Orchestra. 6 PM; free.
