My daughter wants to wear a purple gown to her upcoming wedding. She loves the dress, but I think she’ll regret it in the long run. How do I convince her to wear something more traditional?
Wearing white is a relatively new “tradition” dating back to Queen Victoria in 1840. Before that, brides wore many colors. Your your daughter’s choice is not illegal, immoral, or fattening. Maybe she can start a new tradition with royal purple. You shouldn’t try to change her bridal vision.
