This week, we bring you a very special Designer of the Week. We’re featuring the gorgeous, regal styles of Reem Acra, who will make a special appearance and host a fashion show at our Unveiled event, this Sunday, at the Mandarin Oriental. So if you fall in love with any of these gowns (which shouldn’t be too hard to do) and want to see them in person, get thee to Unveiled this weekend!
Acra, who dressed Madonna and actresses Julie Bowen and Diane Lane for last weekend’s Golden Globes, is known for her grand, princess-worthy ballgowns—but this season, she featured a variety of silhouettes, from slim-fitting mermaids to flowy, beach-ready sheaths. One of our favorite styles was the Layers of Love gown (above, center), which featured a new laser-cut fabric that resembles a magnified lace pattern. For those into more classic creations, another favorite was the Destiny (above, right) a cap-sleeve ballgown with a luxurious peplum skirt. We also adored the Heaven Sent, a beaded sheath with a sexy slit in the front—it’s the bridal version of the gold gown Taylor Swift wore to the American Music Awards.
Reem Acra gowns are available at Saks Jandel in Chevy Chase. Click the jump to view more new Reem Acra wedding dresses.
