Trunk shows, wedding expos, and more this weekend.

January 9 and 10
Barcelona-based bridal designer Pronovias is back at Distinctive Designs Bridal (15709 Crabbs Branch Way, Rockville; 301-948-1833). The line will have a two-day trunk show—and if you buy any of its gowns during the show, you can save 10 percent off the original prices. January 10
Virginia Bride Magazine and the Hospitality House and Conference Center are hosting their first bridal show of the year, packed with wedding professionals and bridal resources. For $7, you can view the work of vendors such as the Finishing Touch Floral Shop, Cakes by Karen, and Classic Hits Entertainment. Additionally, you’ll get to watch an exclusive runway show with Alfred Angelo Bridal’s latest designs. Admission is $5, and the show goes from 1 to 4, with special gifts for the first 100 brides. The Richmond Bridal Showcase will host more than 200 local wedding vendors in addition to fashion shows, tastings, and experts providing advice. Tickets are $10 at the door, cash only, with children under age 12 free. The first 500 brides receive a one-year subscription to Bride Magazine and a copy of the wedding guide Premier Bride. Exhibitors include Trail of Pearls, Flowers Make Scents, Unique Bride, and Twilight Images by Melody Smith. Give your taste buds a treat at Fauquier Springs Country Club’s free bridal tasting. From 1 to 3, prospective brides and their guests get a sneak peek at the Fauquier banquet menu—just make sure to RSVP. The tasting is in the Grand Ballroom of the Fauquier Springs Country Club (9236 Tournament Dr., Warrenton; 540-347-4205)), and brides will get a chance to check out the Fauquier club house.
