Betsy Robinson’s Bridal Collection hosts an Essence of Australia trunk show this weekend. A representative from the designer will be available to help brides select the right gown. Call 410-484-4600 to make an appointment.

Sunday, February 27
The 2011 I Do Bridal Showcase is at Bowling Green Country Club (838 Bowling Green Rd., Front Royal), showcasing the best vendors for a Shenandoah Valley-area wedding. There'll be mini-seminars, a fashion show, cake tastings, door prizes, and goodie bags for the first 50 guests. The country club is located about 90 minutes from downtown DC. 11 to 3. Free.

If you want to plan your big day without making a big carbon footprint, you may find inspiration at the Mid-Atlantic Green Wedding Showcase at the University of Maryland’s Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center. The event features vendors that have made a commitment to eco-friendly practices, and all dresses in the bridal fashion show are made from recycled or vintage fabrics.
