For the bride on a budget, check out the Not-So-Big Wedding Boutique at Rockwood Manor. Twelve teams of wedding professionals are competing to design a ceremony and reception for 65 guests—including catering, reception venue, floral arrangements, music, and photos—for less than $15,000, and they’re revealing their plans at the boutique. Thursday, November 11
Whether you’re aiming for a vintage look or a more contemporary style for your tresses, the Hair & Now show may give you some ideas for your wedding-day do. Organized by the Bella Bethesda salon, the event includes a cocktail hour, hair-styling demonstrations, and a fashion show with hairstyle trends from the ’20s through today. Your ticket also includes food, drinks, a gift bag filled with beauty products, and a $10 gift card good toward a future visit to the salon. It’s at the Ballroom (5521 Landy Ln., Bethesda).
