Where & When Bridal: What to Do This Weekend

The Washington Bridal Showcase is back! Also check out two great trunk shows.

A Romona Keveza gown.

Friday, April 25: Romona Keveza Trunk Show
If you want to look like Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O, or Grace Kelly on your wedding day—and who doesn’t?—head to Harriet Kassman Bridal Salon (5300 Wisconsin Ave., NW; 202-363-1870) to check out Romona Keveza’s starlet-inspired 2008 collection through Sunday. Call the salon to make an appointment (recommended but not required). Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM, Sunday noon to 5.

Homa Jewelry and Veil Trunk Show
Swarovski crystals and French lace—check and check. Hitched (1523 Wisconsin Ave., NW; 202-333-6162) will host jewelry and veils from European fashion queen Homa (no last name; think Oprah) through Saturday. To schedule an appointment, call the salon or e-mail appointments@hitchedsalon.com. Friday 11 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 9 to 5.

Saturday, April 26: “Wedding Invites” Workshop
If you keep missing Paper Source’s wedding workshops, this is so your weekend. Spend an afternoon at the Georgetown location (3019 M St., NW; 202-298-5545) learning how to make your own save-the-dates and invitations. Register here at least 24 hours in advance. $55; 2 to 5 PM.

Sunday, April 27: Washington Bridal Showcase
This traveling bridal expo—it’s huge, people—is back for its only spring show! Besides the usual aisles of samples, demos, and vendors, you can shop designer gowns discounted up to 90 percent and hear a presentation from our favorite George Mason professor, Maggie Daniels. It’s all happening at the Patriot Center at GMU (4400 University Dr., Fairfax). $10 at the door; $8 advance purchase. 11 AM to 5 PM.
