Fashion Agenda: Create Custom Converses and Shop for a Cause

Your guide to this week's stylish events.

Stylemakers With a Cause Campaign Launch

Who says shopping can’t be for a good cause? Through PopNod–the online shopping app that allows a portion of your purchase to benefit charities–you can shop the curated selections of ten local bloggers. By buying from their lists, donations will be made to the DC Diaper Bank, the Washington Humane Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake, and more.

PopNod, campaign runs through April 30.

Customized Your Converses

As a part of Nordstrom’s Pop-In Shop–a series of “magic hour” events that are running through April 19–you can swing by the Tysons Corner Center shop to pick up a new pair of Converses and then have them customized by on-site artists. No more scrawling on your shoes with sharpies–this event will add chic designs to your favorite canvas kicks while listening to live entertainment.

Nordstrom, 8075 Tysons Corner Center, 703-761-1121, April 3 and 4, 12 to 4 PM.

Get Made Up by a Diorshow Expert

Diorshow national makeup artist Aliya Hargrove will be on site in the Pentagon City Nordstrom to share the best techniques for using Dior skincare. Learn what works best with your skin and how to always put your best face forward with Dior. Call the cosmetics counter to schedule your slot on the calendar.

Nordstrom, 1400 South Hayes, St., Arlington, 703-415-1121, April 4, 10 AM to 6 PM.
