District Sample Sale

Hopefully you’ve already snagged your tickets for this once-a-year super-sale, featuring more than 25 of the area’s best shops selling off their end-of-season styles at amazing prices—not to mention the cocktails, delish nibbles, silent auction, and raffle—but in case you haven’t, here’s your chance to win VIP entry for two. Fashion Redeux

Made in the District and Haute Haus Agency team up to honor 25 of the District’s most stylish at a fashion showcase that will include a runway presentation, a silent auction, a photo booth, and a giveaway by jewelry designer Sophie Blake, plus cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Honorees include such varied names as celeb chef Spike Mendelsohn, the Redskins’ Niles Paul, and bloggers Hilary Phelps and E of District of Chic, and proceeds benefit the Nicole Megaloudis Foundation. Mademoiselle C. at the Angelika

In celebration of Mosaic District’s fashion week and the Angelika’s first birthday, the film center hosts the opening of Mademoiselle C., which follows former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld as she launches a new magazine. The premiere will include cupcakes, Prosecco, a red-carpet entrance, and giveaways. Friday at 7 PM. 2911 District Ave., Fairfax. $20.

Stylish Patina’s Rough Luxe Marketplace

The Falls Church vintage home shop hosts its monthly marketplace this weekend. This month’s theme is “vintage glam”—expect one-of-a-kind vintage and reclaimed pieces in golds, greens, and rich peacock blues. Friday and Saturday 10 to 5 and Sunday noon to 5. 138 W. Jefferson St., Falls Church.
