Designer Deals for Men: Snag a Polo Designed by Michael Bastian—for Only $20

The designer’s collaboration with Uniqlo goes on sale Monday.

Your polo lineup has some sharp recruiting options this summer: American menswear all-star Michael Bastian teams up with Japanese retailer Uniqlo for a spot-on capsule collection of the classic polo design, reworked in rich colors and trendy geometric patterns.

And since only there’s only a handful of brick-and-mortar Uniqlo stores in the country (mostly in New York, with one outlier in San Francisco), we’ll be refreshing the store’s website like crazy when the line officially launches Monday morning.

Here’s why: A comparable polo from the Bastian line at the Gant store in Georgetown runs around $100. Uniqlo is offering these for just $20 each. And with the brand’s reputation as a go-to for wardrobe basics at affordable prices (think Gap meets H&M), whenever one of its high-end fashion designer collaborations appear—such as the store’s partnership with Alexander Wang a few years back—inventory sells out quickly.

You may not get the instant gratification euphoria of an in-person score—but we suspect a shipment of these summer wardrobe staples will be well worth the wait.
