The Austin, Texas-based fashion jewelry line started with just $500 and a dream. Thirteen years later, Kendra Scott designs are sold in Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and over 1,000 specialty boutiques around the globe.

The brand, with it’s bright colors and affordable prices, has gained popularity in the south in and around its native Texas, but this summer, Kendra Scott will open its first stand-alone boutiques in Washington.

The first is scheduled to open in mid-July in Bethesda, with a second in Fairfax’s Mosaic District in late August. A shop in Reston will follow in mid-November, with a fourth boutique planned for Georgetown down the road.

Along with the line-up of statement jewelry and accessories, the shops will also feature Kendra Scott Color Bars, which allow shoppers to customize jewelry pieces with a variety of silhouette, metal, and stone color options. For customers who know what they want or bridal parties looking to match, the color bar allows shoppers to create whatever aesthetic they’re looking for. Additionally, with the brand’s bridal collection, area brides can look to purchase fashion accessories for their big day.

The Bethesda store will be located at 4835 Bethesda Avenue and the Fairfax shop will be located at 2910 District Avenue.
