Where & When Bridal: What to Do This Weekend

Three bridal showcases, plus more Hitched, Paper Source, and Crate & Barrel fun.

Friday, February 22: Anna Maier/Ulla-Maija Trunk Show
Check out super-trendy gown designs from New York couture house Anna Maier/Ulla-Maija at Hitched (1523 Wisconsin Ave., NW; 202-333-6162). Bonus: The designers will be there to do measurements and fittings and talk about custom alterations. The show runs through Saturday. To book an appointment, call the salon or e-mail appointments@hitchedsalon.com.

Saturday, February 23: “Paper Wedding” Event
If you missed the Paper Wedding event at Georgetown’s Paper Source last weekend, head to the store’s Alexandria location (118 King St.; 703-299-9950) for the same deal: free demos on all things wedding and paper (i.e., invitations, save-the-dates, and favors) as well as a table to test out the latest invitation-making techniques. 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM; individual demo times here.

Montgomery Country Club Bridal Show
This free show at Montgomery Country Club (6550 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville; 301-948-5393) will feature about ten local vendors and a smorgasbord of food prepared by the club’s chef. Call Valencia Lewis at 301-948-5330 to reserve your spot (so the chef knows how much to prepare). Noon to 4.

Sunday, February 24: “The Wedding Parties” Registry Event
If you missed this Crate & Barrel event a few Sundays ago, wake up early and head to the nearest C&B (five area locations) to enjoy a continental breakfast while viewing demos of appliances you might want to include on your registry. Call the store to RSVP (preferred but not required). Free; 9 to 11 AM.

Radio One Bridal Show
Visit Martin’s Crosswinds (7400 Greenway Center Dr., Greenbelt; 410-792-4832) to meet with area florists, bakers, photographers, and other vendors—plus see two runway shows—at this expo put together by radio station Majic 102.3. $12 at the door; 11 AM to 5 PM.

Lost Creek Bridal Showcase

Lost Creek Winery (43277 Spinks Ferry Rd., Leesburg; 703-443-9836) invites engaged couples to a low-key showcase of vendors and wedding supplies. $3 at the door; 1 to 4 PM.

PLAN AHEAD
Tuesday, March 4: Bridal Tasting
