Check out local bands at the Elan Artists showcase, hosted at the W Hotel. La Femme Classique, Raggs & the All-Stars, Nation, the Source, and Lapis Luna will all play at the event, and are available for hire at wedding receptions. Register to 6 PM; free.

The International Special Events Society’s Idea 2010 Expo, which showcases dozens of local events professionals and vendors, is at the Marriott Wardman Park from 4:30 to 8:30. Tickets ($20) are available here or at the door.
