Vintage-Inspired + Charlottesville Charm

We do the research so you don’t have to: inspiring real Washington weddings from our favorite blogs.

Could this be any cuter? Photograph by Rebekah J. Murray Photography

Earlier this week, we featured the wedding of Vanessa and Jon at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek in Boyds, Maryland. So we were so excited to see another wedding at the same venue featured on Bayside Bride–it’s always neat to see how different couples interpret the same venue. Vanessa and Jon used bright, lively colors, while Tiffany and Jimmy (shown above, photographed by Rebekah J. Murray), took a more vintage-inspired approach. And we couldn’t be more obsessed with the bride’s dress.

Charlottesville has truly become the mini destination wedding location for Washington brides. And here’s a gorgeous example of its bucolic charm. We love the vineyard-inspired details, the pops of purple in the floral arrangements, and the perfectly hued flip-flops and pashmina favors.

Even if you’re not getting married in DC proper, taking some classic Washington portraits—like this couple’s photos in and around the Capitol—is something you won’t regret. And the details from their reception at Woodend Sanctuary (another site we featured this week on our blog!) are just rustic perfection.
