Get a taste of the Appalachian Trail on the 5.4-mile, out-and-back hike to a scenic overlook atop the white cliffs of Annapolis Rock. Despite the name, it’s near Boonsboro, in Maryland’s Washington County, not Annapolis. (hikingupward.com; search for “Annapolis Rocks”)
